sometimes on the home screen it'll show a wifi signal around but it'll still say EDGE on top right and won't switch to UMA.

if i go into manage connections and turn off mobile network so online wi-fi is turned on suddenly EDGE becomes UMA.

why doesn't it do the switch automatically? i mean it does sometimes but not usually and wi-fi preferred is set in connection preference.
