I tried searching on the forums and came up short or found stuff that didnt relate to the 8700g. I wanted to know how to disable Dial From Home Screen, i tried looking through options and didnt find anything. i dont mind using the numbers on the home screen, but i dont want to search through my phone book using the keyboard on the home screen and use short cuts instead.

my second question is, how can you arrange your applications on your home screen? i am using the Zen theme and i remember being able to arrange my applications, but since i updated i cant find the option to change around the applications on the home screen.

The option to disable the Dial From Home Screen is under the Phone General Options.

You must be in Phone mode to access the General Options....
Press on your Send (green) button
Click on Trackwheel...Scroll down the list and click on OPTIONS... click on GENERAL OPTIONS...scroll down the list to DIAL FROM HOME SCREEN and set to NO . .. and SAVE your new setting...
