Am I the only one that has this problem? On two different Verizon 8703e units, midpssh connects, but locks up (requiring a power cycle) after just a few lines of output. I've tried version 1.4x and the newest 1.6 release, but they both do the same thing. Repeated searches don't seem to bring up a lot of answers.

Anyone else? Is there an alternative other than the Rove client?

idokorro, but its 100$. I'd love to have a working ssh client.. midp locks up way too much.. I've searched to see if I'm doing something wrong but I don't think i am

I'm using MidpSSH 1.4.2.0 with both BES based and TCP/IP based connections. I haven't experienced lockups, but I usually don't end up using it for more than a couple of screens worth of commands. My handheld is at v4.1.0.377/2.2.0.176.

(similar situation to you in that I'm using an 8703e on Verizon).

I have to give a big "mea culpa" here. I was still using the old 1.4 release when I did my test; when I used 1.6 (new icon), I found that I can, in fact, let tons of output scroll by without issues.

It never broke in about 10 minutes worth of solid use; before, I'd be lucky to get 10 SECONDS worth.

Definitely try the new midpssh if you had problems with 1.4!
