[RemyJ]

KeePass for BlackBerry is an Open-Source companion to the popular KeePass Password Safe v1. It was inspired by KeePass for J2ME and shares some of the KeePass-specific database functions. The user interface and synchronization functions however were written from scratch to take advantage of BlackBerry-unique features.

Features:
* Database, group and entry creation, deletion and modification.
* BlackBerry-specific user interface for easy/familiar navigation.
* Find-As-You-Type entry search
* 2-Way Desktop Manager Synchronization Add-In.
* Fully enabled for trackball operation as well as trackwheel.

KeePass v2 is still in the Alpha stage so it's database format can change unexpectedly. I've started looking at it but until it reached Beta, it doesn't really make sense for me to try and keep KeePassBB in sync.

I've downgraded to v1.09 and it hangs during database opening and it corrupted it .

Could you be a little more specific about what hung and what corrupted what?

The database got corrupted during a sync. How much time takes decrypt the db on the blackberry for you? It got stuck on 95% for minutes before I stopped it.

I managed to import the db as a mp3 file. It's working ok so the sync routine it's failing.

Just updated to the new version and using 1.09 on the desktop.

It wouldn't let me sync, saying a bad password or some error like that.

I copied the file to my SD card and the first time it opened fine, now it just hangs at 95% dectrypting and hangs the phone.

dont know what it could be, thanks Remy for a great program!

Gotcha. How large is your kdb file?

Let's clean things up and try again.

Open KeePassBB but press cancel instead of entering a password. From the menu, take "Delete persistent store". Now exit KeePassBB and re-enter it. You should be notified that no database exists. Go back to the menu and import from your SD card.

Ok, Try a sync, then from your homescreen type <ALT>LGLG and look for the KeePassBB Sync Report and tell me what it says.

Make sure you've entered your password in KeePassBB at least once after powering the device on and before you sync.

Have noticed one issue with KeePassBB. With the app installed, backup of the BB using the Blackberry Desktop Manager seems to fail. When the backup gets to 'Receiving KeePassBB Options' I get: 'Communication Error: The data was not recognized by the device'.

However backup is still possible using the advanced option and removing KeePassBB Options from the DBs to backup.

I thought I copied 602 to the OTA directory but apparently I didn't. I guess that part of my distribution process needs a little work.

Sourceforge is having some troubles this morning so as soon as they get their bit straightened out, I'll get 602 in the correct directory.

edit: awesome works great for me. I don't sync just use as read-only on the BB.
