That sounds good. As long as I can use the <Return/Enter> key to get to the native BB email viewer from within the PD email viewer.

Default Weather and Stocks do not work

I am a newbie with the 7290. I have just downloaded the trial version of PD. The weather and stocks do not appear. The message is java.io.IOException:could not open tunnel.
What am i doing wrong?

tallen269,

What cell carrier do you have? Also, are you a corporate user?

tallen269,

It would seem that your company has a BES server, but not MDS enabled. MDS routes web traffic through the company servers instead of via WAP. You can try this: go to the bb home screen then options the TCP. Set the apn to 'proxy' (I'm assuming your still actually using AT&T) Then go into POcketDay and change the communications setting internet connection to direct. Then exit pocketday, go to the bb home screen then options then firewall. Reset the firewall from the menu and save the changes.

Then pop the battery on the bb for a second to reset it.

Try pocketday again.

animlmed,

No, pocketday can't dial the native voice mail. The best you can do through pocketday is to setup a contact with your voice mail info using the 'W' to pause and then you press the trackwheel to enter your code.

Went through the steps and it comes back with a message that the program is attempting to open inside and outside the firewall. My IT ploicy does not support it. Oh well.
Thanks for your help.

ronin59,

Go to home/options/firewall. Reset Settings from the menu and save changes. Then pop the battery out to reset the blackberry.

animlmed,

You'll need two copies. The pocketday key is tied to the blackberry PIN code which is unique to each device.

Thanks,

Mark

Is there anyway to show the next x appointments on PD instead of just todays? It would be nice if I have nothing scheduled today that it would show me the appointment I have tommorrow or etc...

By the way, great program!

Anyone else running into problems with PD after upgrading to the latest TMO OS for the 7290? If I try to launch PD it all but locks up my 7290. It takes for ever to do anything and once I get in, weather and stocks both show some java error. It also can't seem to get into the phone logs.

Also, just as a reference, when I had PD set to start at boot up, after getting impatient wondering what was wrong with the new OS, I was able to call TMO, wait for a rep while they performed basic troubleshooting then waited for the BB rep to get on the phone who asked some basic questions then just as she told me to pull the battery the PD screen appeared. I turned off the PD start at bootup and everything (except PD) is back to normal.

Soapm,

I had another user report this problem. Does PD work without the start at boot option?
