I received a message from VZW to go to BlackBerry® Software Updates on your PC for a FREE software upgrade to enchance your Blackberry 8830 experience.

I went to the web site and no new upgrade yet, does anyone know what this is about?

It looks like a new firmware update, but I haven't tried it yet.

That update was from 8-2-2007. At least I think!

I ran the update and did not see any difference to the phone itself.

It is nice to see Verizon taking an active step to keep the BB updated though.

The message i got from VZW msg came to phone on 10-2-07 yesterday about the update, just wondering what is going on, i know the web site still has the old update on it, maybe a new one is coming, this is the first time i ever got a message from them about an update, do not receive one about the last update, i was just checking to see if anyone knows what is going on?
