Default Strange, Strange goings on with TMO VM

Please Login to Remove!

OK stop me if you've heard this one. I have a Pearl on TMO.

Twice now I have received a VM notification that seems to show up out of nowhere. With the first one, I listen to the message, it starts with a phone ringing (as though I am making an outgoing call) then my wife answers and says says hello and it cuts right there. I asked her that day if she got a call from me where I hung up abruptly when she answered. She said no.

The second one occurred yesterday. Same thing, an outgoing ring, then my home answering machine picks up and the call cuts off after machine hangs up.

Anyone ever heard of this??? How would an outgoing ring be recorded on my cell VM? With the second one, my call log does show that my house called my cell but how would the ring and answering machine be in the VM???

I totally agree! This reminds me of a strange movie where you don't quite know what is going on at first. I am a BIT tech savvy so I have an idea of what is possible, but this surprises me totally. My buddy emailed me this w/o explanation: Catch Cheating Spouses with FlexiSPY - Spy Phone, Location Tracking, Remote Listening for Mobile / Cell Phones.

Truly, I do not. She has no reason and no tech savvy. Its just that something like that makes some sense of my strange VMs

I've had strange experiences with tmo vm, too.

One time I called a Friend and left a vm, she got the vm and so did another friend of mine whom I had spoken to earlier in the day, even though I didn't call the 2nd friend or leave her a vm. Only thing was I was talking about the 2nd friend and she heard everything on the vm.

Sorry, I don't have any insight into your problem.

Both of our situations don't even seem technically possible. I understand making a pocket call (leg presses a speedial number while in your pocket) but what we are talking about is much more than that.

Was the last number you dialed, the friend whom you did not want to hear the VM? In other words is it possible you pressed some combo of numbers to join the prior number into your current call?

This is interesting. About a month ago I had a voicemail that was a phone just ringing. I thought it was just a glitch but I see more than just me had it happen.

This is easily explainable, are the numbers you calling VoIP numbers? This often occurs with them, but can happen with regular lines as well.

Ever call someone, hang up the phone, only to have the phone start ringing on you? You pick up and theres no one there, or perhaps the other party is still there. What happens is the line was never dropped.

So whats probably happening is someone is calling you, then hanging up before they reach you but for some reason the line is still "open" and ringing, so your voice mail picks up. But when they hangup their phone too is ringing, which explains why your wife picked up said "hello" and heard no response since she was talking to the voicemail system.
