BIS - GMail works fine.
BIS - Yahoo-hosted still FUBAR.
I am getting the impression that Yahoo Email + BIS = not very reliable.

I stumbled across this on yahoo! after my T-mobile pearl after not pushing emails since early yesterday pushed 10 emails early this morning.
E-mail outage hits some BlackBerry users
E-mail outage hits some BlackBerry users - Yahoo! News
I've only been using blackberries for less than a year. On average year, how many outages does RIM have (not carrier phone/sms/mms outages)? I see alot of posters saying the 2 this year is unexceptable, but compared to a Windows Mobile phone that doesn't push email consistently even without a service outage, I think the 2 RIM outages so far is far better than all the issues I had with other devices. To me they seem to have a good service track record and may get bad press when they do have issues just because their product is so good that we are addicted to it and we monitor it every 5 seconds if there isn't a email coming thru....lol

Southbeach, did you DELETE the service books also from your device, first?
See Post #124 in this thread
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tml#post659309
Then pull your battery and reboot.
Good luck.

my T-mo Pearl seems to back up and running, email was sent to my work email at 440pm today, and was pushed to my Pearl @ 454pm, so it's within the 15 minute polling timeframe, so I guess I am good to go on that device.

Kind Of Working Here.
Hi Everyone, Service here in Connecticut (Fairfield County) on T-Mobile has been hit and miss. Receiving E-Mails from Friday just a few minutes ago and over night received over 50 E-Mails when I normally get 20 or so. Tech support at Blackberry said they are still working on it, but like someone else said, all E-Mails will be delivered.

I had the same problem with my Yahoo email address: no emails on blackberry after Friday. Fixed by removing Yahoo email address from blackberry account and adding it back.

Gadget, first welcome to the Forums.
Your best bet is to filter the spam at the email server level BEFORE it gets to the BlackBerry, like at yahoo, gmail or wherever your email comes from. There is an email spam filter from Antair.com, but I have never tried it.
Also, please start a new thread with a new question that has nothing to do with the topic on hand, otherwise, it is called "hijacking" a thread, and is not polite.
Thanks, enjoy.

My Yahoo still won't come through either. Backberry mail and gmail are working great. I've deleted and resent service books, Re registered, re booted and deleted the account itself and re added (some of these steps multiple times). None of the test emails I've sent myself will come through. T Mobile said that there are still know issues going on and to be patient. So...thats what I'm doing! Not sure if it matters but I'm in Central Florida...

Deleting Service Books
I looked at the post 165. However, those instructions don't work on the 8300 model. Anyone know how to delete the service books on the 8300 model?
From what I understand, delete the service books on the device (deleting any books with the @ designation), pull out battery, reboot, and then resend the service books from blackberry's website?
I'd sure like to know what this service book is?
Man, this is really frustrating. I've never had to battle with my phone before. As a new user for less than a month to Blackberry, I would almost go back to plain old phone and computer email but I was really liking the blackberry!
Thanks for your help though Mr. Sanders!

On the other subject, it's a rare occrurance, so don't worry too much. You"ll be fine.

I did a "send service books" yesterday, Friday at 4:30 PM central time and all the e mails I could see in my outlook that hadn't been delivered flooded in. I received seveal e mails including test e mails I sent from other accounts right on time. I had the laptop on at home to monitor my company e mail to make sure I wasn't missing any. I didn't. Today at 5:30 PM (Saturday) an activation congratulatory message showed up.
What was that all about? Was that a delayed reaction to the service book request from yesterday?

Anyone have Yahoo Email working yet?
Email sent to Yahoo account is not being pushed to the BB still. Anyone still having this same problem with ATT BIS and Yahoo email combo?
Am able to send from BB using my yahoo email account with no delay problems, but not receiving any emails on the BB sent to my yahoo account.

I am having the same problem and I'm in ND using VZW. I was getting email on my BB Yahoo! account earlier today, although somewhat sporatically. I did a hard reset (pulled the battery) and resent my service books using the BIS site for VZW. I hope I did all this correctly as I'm so new to the BB world I have no idea what much of this does. Yesterday, I was able to set up my work email account on my BB as well. I deleted all the accounts today and started over to see if I'd start getting mail again. Now, I can't seem to get my work email set up again. It is a corporate account that I access using Web Outlook. I get an error message that says my account can't be accessed by the service. Is this because of the outage or am I doing something wrong? ANY help would be greatly appreciated! I really love my BB and I want to be able to utilize it to the fullest.

You know, as a side note, Yahoo > BIS accounts were having an issue a couple days before this outage occurred, if I recall correctly? Am I losing my mind or is that true?
