Has anyone gotten this combination to work reliably?

I get delays, the BB drops the BT connection when I dial out and might pick it back up. It never answers or responds to an incoming call.

Quite disappointing that Verizon sells this headset for a BB...

Hmmm, could be you have a defective one? You are referring to the Plantronics Discovery 655, correct? I don't have problems with outgoing or incoming calls with this headset. Try to get them to exchange it. Compatability wise, it is good for the BlackBerry 8703e - that's why they sell it.
