Default 7100t blinks red twice

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having troubles right now and I am starting to think my 7100t is toast.

It all started out with my bb not booting and giving me a whole bunch of device errors. 322 mainly.

So I tried to wipe it with JL_cmder but was unsuccessful in connecting to it.

Then, I connected to it using the apploader.exe /nojvm process. It erased all data, but then got hung up on intializing because the device error 322 was still showing.

I then tried apploader a second time, everything erased, and then in the middle of the process, the bb disconnected.

Now, when I put the battery in, nothing happens except for the red light flashing twice with a couple second interval in between flashes.
The same happens when I connect the bb via usb to my computer. Red flashes, red flashes, red flashes. Desktop manager shows it being disconnected, and I cannot get the device to be detected in connection settings.

I am using desktop manager version 4.2.2.14.

Is this blackberry going to receive my office space wrath?

What a irony my BB 7100T does the same thing right now. It kept rebooting and showing me red lights and all kinds of device error messages. I wiped it with JL_cmder with lots of difficulties and I was also able to load the new OS. But still it does the same thing. I am not sure what to do. If anyone can help will be appreciated. Thanks

Default Blinking Red Twice

This happened to me last week on my 7100t. Bad news is, your handheld is done for. The fix? Go to craigslist.org and buy a new or used handheld. I found my new 7100t for $80. Hope this helps!

well i actually got the bb to connect, wipe, and reinstall the os. it worked for a bit, then died down again. but at least it showed signs of life.
missingyou99, follow these instructions:

to download your software, go here:
Unsupported Browser
use the following number to login if you dont have a tmobile number:
6156680000

download both the desktop manager and 7100t software

then follow the instructions closely from the following page:
What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

once you get to the installation portion, get to the point where you connect to usb, com1, or com4
even if you see the usb option, follow the procedure as if you didn't see it. it worked for me.

make sure the installer fully finishes. hopefully your 7100t will boot up again like mine did. after the installer finishes, the hourglass should be spinning. don't unplug it from the computer. once the screen goes black, you should be good to unplug the bb.

well mine just finished. lets see if its good.

Unhappy

Tommyboy,
Well I did pretty much what you said (twice). It does show the sign of life here and there but overall it just messed up. Well in my case I was able to get the backup while it was awake. so I am lucky I am not going to loose all the data.
Let's see I am already inthe market for new blackberry.
