Must Have Apps!
Please Login to Remove!
Time to share our knowledge, what must have apps do people use for administering their BES's? And what apps have you deployed in your enviroment for your users to use on their devices?
Personally from an admin point I swear by BerryStats (see sticky in main forum) and have just trialed RepliGo for the devices which again I love!

I guess since you said from an Admin's perspective I'll have to come up with something better than Pacman.

Hi Simon
Hope you're not too flooded in the north
My personal faves on devices are
a) Jive Talk IM Client (now out of beta but worth the $30 per annum)
b) Virtual Reach RSS reader
c) Idokoor SSH Client - perfect for SSH'ing to any linux based kit and doing fun stuff...
I want to use the telmap stuff but they don't seem to have brought it out yet for the 8300...

The flooding seems to be centered on the Midlands so we're coping!
For an RSS reader I find that the BB's Own Browser is more the capable.
PS I assume you mean Idokorro?

along the Idokorro lines, their Mobile Desktop rocks.
I can get to my terminal services (windows) my mac desktop and my toy linux box with the gui. It's a little slow, but easy enough to use.
I haven't tried any of their high end gear, but if it works anywhere near as nice as the low-end....

We use Idokorro mobile admin - It lets you connect to DCs and check event logs, AD users and computers etc. It works really well

Yes used the citrix when it was in beta mode. Havent used it since but it worked well...Although there was RSA Authentication on the site, when idokorro loaded the page, it didnt show rsa, which was weird. Apps didnt work to load ie word, excel, etc. I was informed this has been addressed.

You are correct we don't support RSA authentication in our Citrix client yet, we have that on our roadmap for a future release.

email from company to BB
The company I work for uses citrix client, They do not support BB. Only Palm 700w and some HP's from verizon. The company said I would need an app to get the email from work to my BB and had no idea what was available. It looks like the Idokorro's software does this and if so which app would I need?

I'll second the motion for Idokorro's Mobile Admin; it's faster than trying to VPN in to unlock user accounts. As for users, so far I throw them Google Maps, the Sametime Client and StopWatch ("There's never an eggtimer around when you need one").

Sounds like all that you need to get your BlackBerry to work is the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector, that comes on the CD with a new BlackBerry device, this will allow you to receive your email on your BlackBerry, not the Idokorro software.

okay, so i installed Mobile Admin today.
Yes. Must. Have.
DHCP, DNS, BES, Exch, BU/ex, ADUC, File Shares, oh my.
Userland stuff which is neat: Google Mobile Apps (mail, maps, news), Yahoo Go, WebMessenger (all IM clients over web, not SMS), BBWeather. ColorPearl (all about the bling factor)
and since we are a mac shop: Missnig Sync for Blackberry (iPhoto and iTunes to the BBerry -- files too if you want.)
