Default Email Replies From Outlook Showing as New Emails on my Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Just got the pearl a week ago, dig the phone but I have one minor issue with it to which I hope is just a setting somewhere I missed. Here is the scenario.

Email A arrives in my Outlook inbox. I also receive email A on my blackberry.

In Outlook, I reply to the email. The next time my account is polled the original email A comes through on my pearl as a new email item.

At first I thought it may just be my replies to the original email coming through on the pearl, but the email is just an exact duplicate complete with the new email icon, not the check reply icon.

Last night I had an email chain that involved 5 replies all through outlook. 15 minutes later I had 5 duplicate copies of the original email.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Check settings make sure you have not CC for yourself on the mails you send
(on both outlook and BIS)

hope this helps

Are you using BES or BIS? I'm using BIS and I had this same problem recently when I got my new Pearl. I noticed that my email account was using the IMAP protocol, so I switched it to exchange and I haven't had the problem since.

Hope this helps.

BIS. Since I am new at this how do I switch the protocol. It seems to be locked down. Thanks.

Well, like I said I'm fairly new around here too, plus I have cingular (att), but I'll try to help as much as I can.

I first logged into my BIS account via www.cingular.com/blackberry (I'm not sure what tmobiles web site is). I then removed my current email account. Then I told it I wanted to setup a new account on the web site, I then deliberately typed in the wrong password on the first screen and hit next. It then gave me the option to provide the settings to add this email account. So I selected that and went to the next page. On that screen I selected work account and on the next screen it allowed me to choose whatever protocol worked best for me.

I'm sorry this may sound confusing but it's actually really easy once you login into the BIS web site. There also may be an easier way to do this, but that's the only way I know right now.
