Default Thinking about Buying Unlocked Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking of buying a new Unlocked Blackberry Pearl on Ebay. My question is if I buy it and it has the old Operating System not compatible with 2gb MicroSD card how do I update it if it is unlocked will att / cingular update work or not. I don't to buy an ulocked phone update it with att OS and it not be unlocked anymore.

-Thanks Luke

Being unlocked has nothing to do with being able to update the phone. You'll need to ensure it doesn't have any BES IT policies set on it. If it doesn't, you're all set.

if you want a music phone get a SE walkman... the pearl is not a music phone. the pearl is barely a phone per say... the pearl and all BBs are smart phones which do it all... IMHO if you arent going to get the pearl to use email, internet, and all the fancy things a BB does then get a phone that is made for what you want....

you want a music phone, get a music phone, dont get a BB.

I WOULD AGREE on that. Blackberry Pearl is not meant to be used as a music phone. First off, the speaker is not that loud unless you use Programs to increase the .db, It does have a jack, but its not that great. Get a blackberry if you wanna have third party applications and want to surf the web, not just to listen to music
