I removed my SIM for a few minutes and when i put it back in my owner information was deleted. Is this normal?

Would someone mind taking their SIM out for a few mins and seeing if their Owner Info is deleted when they put it back in?

I did, everything was normal. Sounds like an issue on your end.

Thats odd. when i took mine out and put it in the owner info was deleted. thing is, i had not entered the owner info myself, when i started using BES it was entered for me. so maybe it had to do with the BES policy.

After inputting owner info, I have taken out SIMs in many phones, carted them across town and put them into other phones. Always worked well.

Plus, remember that SIMS are many times mailed with a phone, on a plastic card and not in the phone. Those sometimes have owner info on them.

It may be the BES, policy and permissions? Also, isn't owner info placed on the phone's ROM and NOT the SIM? Not sure, just wondering.

im not sure. I took out my SIM and put it back into the phone, locked it and noticed that the owner information wasnt showing up. I went to Owner Information and it had been deleted. its not a big deal, I just typed it back in. I originally didnt have any owner info written in but when i activated BES i noticed it was automatically put in for me. its not really an issue, but i wasn't sure if it was normal or not (for owner info to be removed after removing and replacing the SIM).
