I just got my BlackPearl BB phone. Here are some functions I'm looking to setup but don't know how and couldn't find instructions from the manual or anything that comes with the box.

1. How do I setup different rington for new email/IM/MSM/calendar appointment/task?
2. How do I find out about my un-used and used minutes?
3. How do I use my .jpg file as the wall paper?

I may have more questions as I explore this device. Many thanks in advance.

I humbly suggest you read through your manual, as well as the FAQ site here,

1-Go to Profiles, scroll down to ADVANCED, and edit from there.
2-Your Carrier will know that. Some you can dial like #MIN# and get an accounting. I believe that works with TMo, and mytmobile.com has that info as well.
3-Email the picture to yourself, open attachment and save. Go to Picture Viewer and open that picture, SET AS WALLPAPER. You can also transfer jpgs from Media Manager in your Desktop Manager.

Many thanks for the response. I'll give the 2nd and 3rd suggestion a try tonight. As for question one, I already been to the Advance option. I found this on the FAQ page you gave me but it didn't say anything about creating different rington for say new email or appointment reminder. The link talks about creating new rington for different user. For now, I'm the only user of this device. As I said in my initial post, the manual does not give steps by steps on how configure different rington for like new email and appointment reminder. I already went through the Blackberry 101 training and nothing there give me the specific information I needed.

profiles>advanced>highlight active profile>menu button (press it)>edit>select one of the things you want to edit (calendar, email, etc)>set in holster to Tone>next line below you can highlight the Tune and click the trackball to get the list of available ringtones and select one of those. Repeat steps for out of holster as well.>Repeat those steps for the rest of the items you want to edit ringtones for the rest of the items, remembering to do in and out of holster sections.

Okay, I went to: profiles>advanced> and I do not see "active profile" but do I see the Phone Active. At the bottm I see the "Use Active Profile Except for:" and then under this there is a checkbox checked for Important Calls.

I highlight the Importaint Calls and press menu button and edit and then I got to the Exception: Importan Calls section. For the User Profile: Active Profile and then for the Custom Phone Tune: T-Jingle is checked and that is it. I press the menu again and I do not see any option for adding anything.

i mean that in the list of profiles one will say (active) next to it...that is the one you highlight and click the menu button then select edit
