Default 8830 Speakerphone: no one can hear me

Please Login to Remove!

"Upgraded" from the 8703 to the 8830 about a week ago. I've been having lots of complaints from people whenever I'm on speakerphone. No one seems to be able to hear me. Anyone else had this problem?

I haven't. As a matter of fact no one's even notice I'm on speaker. Can they not hear you at all? Or just can't hear you very well? Could it be a mute button issue (button the top right)?

Or, could it be a faulty mic on your device?

The 8830 seems to be more susceptible to background or wind noise than my old 7520. It works fine in a quiet environment

truly sad to hear this b/c i've noticed a big improvement over the speakerphone quality from my last BB (7130e) with my new 8830. i think you may have received a lemon from verizon, so i suggest trading it in.
