Default Wireless Stereo Headset and the 8300

Please Login to Remove!

Has any 8300 user found a Wireless stereo headset that they are satisfied with ????

I picked up a Cingular branded Wireless Headset today (SA 505) and the audible background hiss is horrible.

Not sure if the problem is with the curve or the headset. Anyone had similar problems ????

Default VIdeo & Audio Work on the Spider

Both audio and video sound work on the SPIDER I am testing. It is available at Radio Shack for $79.00

However, so far I can't geet the headset to work with voice dial or pick up phone calls. I think it is a set up issue with the profiles. I need to tinker a little more...

Nope. No A2DP Bt in the 8100. I hear you can trick them into working with the Dollars5 media player, but only in mono, not stereo. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the latest OS that supposedly will add A2DP support. Until then, no stereo Bt.

Apparently the video sound is not available on any Bluetooth kit with BB Curve. I have a pair of Motorola HT820 headphones which are fantastic. All controls on it work with my Curve in both headset and headphone profiles. Also, the next/previous track, play/pause, volume and voice dial activates when I push the headset command button. All of this worked right out of the box - no playing with settings, just paired and go.

As an aside to the video shortfall - the HT820 headphones do have a hard-wire cable port on them and a patch cable to hook directly to the 3.5mm port on the phone. This will give you a stereo headset for video, but won't work for headset. You would have to take them off to accept a phone call.

I don't think you can go wrong with a pair of these headphones!
