Default seidio 3.5-2.5 adapter issues

Please Login to Remove!

I have owned it for about 5 months and all of a sudden it has stopped working

has anyone had similar problems with this

alternatively could the jack on the pearl be defective
would there be anyway to test this other than buying a new adapter ??

Try using the headphone that came with the phone (it's not stereo though) and see if you get sound out of that.

I also have the adapter and other than the fact that every time I plug it into the BB it starts the voice dial feature (not to hijack this thread, but does this happen to anyone else?), I don't have any problems.

As for troubleshooting the problem, as someone else suggested, the next step should be to try using the original wired headset that came with the Pearl (black wire, single ear piece and the inline mic) and see if you get anything from that (phone functions on the button, microphone and sound), that would tell you if you have something wrong inside the phone. If the original headset works and a different set of headphones also don't work with the Seidio adapter, then it's the adapter.

Did it stop working on both sides of the head phone? I've had this happen with my Seidio adapter and only one part of it stopped working... I sent it back this week, waiting for a response.

Default other adaptors?

Anyone know if there are any other adaptors besides Seido's that work with the 8100? I understand that the ones you get from Radio Shack don't. I have a problem paying $7 shipping on the $16 item from Seido.

Not much do work, you can go for the jabra headsets, there was one person that said the ones at BestBuy or Fry's worked, but I have tried it at those stores with no luck. With Seidio you really do get what you pay it isn't that much of a price for a good product, especially with good customer service.
