They are trying to sync with Outlook 2007.

Only program where syncing is of use on the BB.

I agree that if you upgrade to DM 4.2 with SP1 then you should have no problems. I'm using it with Windows Vista Home Premium and Office 2k7.

Just Outlook. For some reason, saying Office 2007 feels more suiting. Especially since one 2007 application requires the same cpu resources as the entire 2003 suite did running at the same time.

No -- it wirelessly connects to the internet and BES or BIS for email. If you want wireless sync then you need BES and it still doesn't sync with Office on your PC (not directly anyway). You sync with the Exchange server and Outlook is connected to your Exchange server.

The key to making it work (and it took me some time when I got a Windows Vista machine and loaded Outlook 2007) was to go to the RIM site and download the version of DM 4.2 with SP1. There is a standard version of 4.2, but it won't work for you. DM 4.2 with SP1 works like a charm with Vista and Outlook 2k7,

LMAO...I tried Outlook 2007 and went back to 2003 after about a week.

2007 uses way more resources and does less basic stuff (can't even properly display HTML mail half the time) than Outlook 2003. The only thing I miss from 2007 is the fourth pane with the calendar view.

I find the whole Office 2007 suite to be a lot more pleasing on the eyes and is better in functionality. I also haven't seen any resource hogging from this thing, but maybe its because my laptop is brand new.

Any luck sync'ing with Outlook '07 yet?

Sounds like people running DM 4.2 SP 1 are not having sync issues.

As for Outlook, the program itself seems to run just fine, but it takes a lot longer to display HTML emails in 2007 than it does in 2003. I realize this is off-topic, but is anyone aware of whether MS plans to release a patch for 2007 that will give Outlook full HTML rendering (like 2003 has) instead of only using the same engine found in MS Word? That, combined with the fact that none of the auto-correct options work in Outlook 2007 unless you are also running Word 2007, means I am sticking with 2003.
