My recommendation would be to try to reinstall the operating system, it really seems like you're missing some stuff.

Also, call your provider and have them send down all the service books you should have. If you don't have service books for internet access, that may prevent the icons from appearing.

Also, don't forget to make sure the icons aren't hidden

No need to be that drastic yet....

Have you tried having the IT dudes resend everything????

If you are on BES it might be an access issue and your IT folks would be the best bet....

DO NOT wipe and resotre the OS at this point...

Wink I have the same problem

KumaMares, I have the same problem. I got a new Pearl yesterday and, after syncing it and moving all my data from my old BB, lost the internet icon and began receiving the same error as you! I'm about to go to the Cingular store to see what they can do and if they have any answers as to why that happened and what causes it.

Unhappy

I've been on the phone with Cingular/Blackberry Tech all morning. I tried everything, then, while I'm at lunch and after everyone I spoke with said to turn the phone in for a new one, the browser pops back up out of the blue!

The techs acknowledged that the Pearl has an issue here and that they don't know what it is or why it's happening. I finally find a phone I love (to replace my 7290) and this happens!

Also, in looking at the browser modules in DM, I noticed there are two that aren't/weren't isntalled (I'm not about to hook my phone back up to see which ones)!

I am currently going back to TMO .64, I went back to TIM and still no browser, perhaps I will just leave it for a few hours after this OS install and see if I have the same luck as you did, I will post up with my findings.

Default These pretzels are making me thirsty

I should also note that I reinstalled the desktop manager and the device software on a Windows XP machine, as opposed to the Vista machine I originally used. I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but maybe it's worth a try!

You need to resend your service books and then pull the battery. That will bring back your Browser icons. After almost every OS upgrade I've had to do this.
