Default Stereo adapter question

Please Login to Remove!

I'm currently looking for a stereo adapter for my Pearl. I will be using it to hook my Pearl up to the AUX port in my car and play music. Right now I am using the radio shack adapter and it works however it only outputs in mono and dual-mono. There sound is also weak in bass.

My question is what adapter can I get that will let me play music in my car with my Pearl in full stereo? And the no bass issue, is it an amplification issue or is it just the adapter?

I know the Seidio adapters work with headphones, but I haven't been able to find any assurances that it will work in a car stereo. I have tried messaging the Seidio rep on bbforums, but he has yet to respond.

The current output is fine, but I'd like CD-quality output from the blackberry. I'm trying to do what I can before thinking about getting an Ipod.

Thanks

The Seidio simple audio adaptor for BB8100 should be fine.

We haven't personally been able to test these the way you're going to use them, but I would recommend sticking to the standard audio adapter.

I just bought the radio shack adapter and a 1/8 to 1/8 cable to try to hook it up to the AUX in my car-stereo. The BB isn't even recognizing it and continues to play out of the handset and NOTHING is coming out of the stereo. What's up with that??

If you look at the Seidio website at their adapter and compare it to the RS one, they look identical. It must be some 'behind the scenes' issue (electrical) that makes the RS unusable.

Pisses me off that RIM pulled some crap like this and couldn't make something 'standard'.

Wirelessly posted (NXTL7520: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I just bought a 'ANYCOM' bsh-100 and I'll try and pair it with my bb8800 and/or laptop....

Has anyone tried this model?
