Question Unable to get "Play All' Option

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have got a Black BB pearl. I've put 2 GB card in it. And put loads of music in sub folders of music folder. I'm not getting an option of "Play All" at the folder level.
Where as my wife has got a White BB pearl. She is getting an option of "Play All' at the folder level itself. The only difference between hers and mine is she has a matrix theme while I have a BB Dimensionzen theme.
Can any one help me out how to get the "Play All' option at the sub folder level under music folder?
I love to have it.

Thanks and regards
RK

I have to highlight a song before I get the play all option (open the folder, but I don't have to start the song playing).

Yeah that's what I said, but you have to open the folder and see the list of songs in order to get that option. If you just get the list of folders the option is not there.

You need to have at least one song in the main music folder outside of all your folders with songs in them. Then you can choose PLAY ALL from the main folder and it will put all your songs in all the folders into the playlist.

You can always use the "play folder" option.

The play folder option will just play songs in that folder and not in subfolders though.

Well thats what i mean. Obviously the OP doesnt have subfolders with music in them, otherwise the "play all" option would be there. Or am I missing something?

If I go to Media, click on Music, then Media Card, I am in the Music folder on my MicroSD Card. If I don't have any songs in this actual folder, just subfolders with songs in them, I can't put all of my songs into the playlist. I can only go into a folder and select Play Folder which will put the songs just in that folder into the playlist. Even selecting Play All while in one of these folders will only play all the songs in just that folder. If you back up to the main Music Folder to where you can see all of these subfolders, you only get the option to play anything if there is at least one song outside of the subfolders in that main music folder. The only way you can put all of your songs in all of these folders into the playlist at the same time is by having at least one song outside of these subfolders and selecting Play All. This may be different between themes and operating systems, though. I use the today plus theme and I am running the t-mobile .64 os.

Thumbs up Thanks that works

b_d0za - Thanks your option really clicked for me.
I kept one song at the folder level and now it shows play all option and even it plays all the songs in the subfolder at the folder level too. This is what I needed. Thanks a lot. You saved my time and life. Keeping one song at the folder level doesn't hurt at all...

Cool. Glad somebody could understand all that. It was kinda hard to say for some reason. Works great, though, huh? I keep a bunch of songs in that folder. All the ones that are lonely without the rest of their album.

Wow cool works for me too. Now if we just had some shortcuts on the media player to like skip tracks or replay tracks besides hitting the menu button we'd be in good shape.

for skipping tracks, you can hit 4 or 6. though you have to be in the media player.

for replay, you still need the menu button.
