I have a client that gets an occational RED X when accepting meeting invites, although the calendar on the device is updated with the meeting... outlook in desktop does not show meeting.

We are using:
1. Outlook 2003
2. BES
3. Model BB is 8700g

Any advice is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

When they get the message with the Red X, you should be able to open up that message and get a brief description as to why it error ed out.....

If I remember correctly the meeting invites are sent as MMS and I don't think that MMS is supported on the 8700... I could be mistaken, but its something you might want to look into.

MMS messages are available to 87xx users. I have it.

This user is using BES, and the function should be a part of BES. I don't know enough about BES to instruct you.
