Default HELP my bb is broke but how do i.........

Please Login to Remove!

my bb 8100(tmobile) will not take a sim card! it says insert sim, and i tried 3 dif active sim cards!!!!!

i am on Cingular, and they said they will not replace the phone because it is not a cingular phone, whiich i understand!!!! Tmobile says they will not replace because i am not on tmobile!!!!
I called BlackBerry and i was on hold for 28 minutes and i hung up, and i called again and was on hold for 42 minutes....... is there a direct warranty number to call? OR does tmobile have to replace because i bought the phone from them at full retail price?
What can i do?????

Please let me know ASAP, i live on my bb, and my razr is not doing the job, lol
thank you in advance,
Eric

Why even reply with that comment?
It is under WARRANTY.
The phone has no water damage, or signs that it has been abused (because it has not)! Why should I have to buy a new one?

Unfortunatly the above poster is right-a little abrupt, but right. The warranties are done through the carriers. That is the downside of using one carrier's phone on another carrier. If you aren't a TMobile customer they don't have to warranty the phone.

When/how did the problem come up?

i took my sim card out and put it in another smaller phone for the night! and when i went to put it in i get the error message!
I thought that the phones were covered by blackberrys warranty? i called tmobile and they said they do not do warranty exchanges for pda type of phones in store, and i would have to call blackberry?

The carriers do the warranty. You can try RIM but I doubt you'll get anywhere.

Before you take it in, have you tried backing up your phone with the desktop manager and performing a clean wipe? If not, I would definitely try that. Your sim card still works in other phones correct?

Take it back to the store you bought it from and speak directly to a manager. Stay calm and try not to argue, if it looks like the situation is going nowhere, start crying dude!lol.. Good luck man

LOL, i work for Cingular, so i know the best ways around stuff!
Always act like it is very important, stay focused, polite but straight to the point, and if stuff does not go your way throw a pissy fit, and the manager will do it to just to get you to leave the store!
lolololol

Sorry for not explaining more in detail. But after reading more of your story, I still stick with my answer. So Cingular wouldn't give you the unlock code even though you work for them?

I hope Tmobile does something for you. Let us know how it turns out.
