Deleting message on server, leaving on Handheld?

Is there a way to do this? Whenever I receive messages on my Pearl, I'd sometimes like to keep them on my phone but not have them come through whenever I log back into my Outlook at home. I know I can leave off the option to 'leave on server' but that would remove each and some I want to still have there.
Like the option to remove from the just the Handheld, is there an option that I've missed to remove from the server but *not* the handheld?
