No hadr disk, hard disk, or SD card. Or any removeable memory of any sort. If you set a password on the BB, the datais pretty much irretrievable without that password.

RIM is very security conscious. Read up about it.

so your saying there is no removeable storage at all. So if the handheld is stolen there is no way they can reteive data unless they know the password.

You got it! Further if a password is entered incorrect 10 time the devices will wipe itself of all data.

Internal Flash memory. 16 or 32 MB (earlier/CDMA models have less). Nothing *NOTHING* removeable. There is no removeable memory. There is no flash, or SD or Sony memory stick. Nothing removeable. At all. None. Zero. All memory is built into the unit.

NSA actually conducted a test on this, and was unable to retrieve data from the device even ripping it apart and reading the chips individually.

And if thats still not enough to make you feel safe, with 4.0 you can use the Content Protection feature to locally encrypt the data (if you don't mind a performance hit).

Another security feature is that the handheld can automatically lock itself if left unattended for a certain amount of time, or when put back into holster.

Once the handheld locks itself, not even the NSA can get your data back off your BlackBerry. (Assuming you've used a REAL password, of course.)

BlackBerries are known to be the most secure handheld computers on the market. That's why the U.S. government uses them!
