Wirelessly posted (7130e: BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

It maybe a theme that is not compatible with your device os. Certain themes like the today theme and zen I couldn't use until I upgraded my os. Just a thought.

It may need the Plazmic Theme reader to be installed also.

I had version 4.2 desktop manager on my pc uninstalled it to 4.1 uninstalled the themes from my BB then reinstaled from my pc to my BB did a hard reset still nothing shows up in advanced options and not in themes. I thought it might have someting to do with the desktop manager. I was wrong . I can install other programs but not Themes
I have 6 default thems on my BB now

I'm guessing it has to do with them being from Handango and trials. Without seeing specifically what you are trying to load I can't say for sure.

In all honestly, there really isn't any reason you should have to go to Handango to get themes. Browse over to the themes section of this forum and you should be able to find more than enough to keep you happy.

The plazmic theme reader should be all you need, but read through the threads and see if they state you need anything else. Of course, you'll need to download the theme also, but that only makes sense.

This is a site I have used many times and it has a ton of themes on it:
