Default Having problem sync'ing address book

Please Login to Remove!

We have a Pearl user who does not really need real time email service, he just needs it for PIM so we did not subscribe BB data service for his wireless number.

I installed the software came with the Pearl, have no problem sync'ing calendar, note and tasks, however run into this error message when it comes to address book:

IntelliSync
Unable to write or update application data

I uninstalled the Bb Desktop Manager software and installed it again using another option "Blackberry Internet Service" just for troubleshootign purpose, and run into the same problem. I went to RIM's website and did not find any service pack or hotfixes for desktop software version 4.2.0.12.

Anyone who can give me a hint toward resolving this problem?

First off, you have to have a BB data plan to send PIN messages.

Thank you for the reply, however my problem has nothing to do with messages. It is okay for that user not having any messaging function, he just needs to access some basic PIM.

Sorry, I was reading too fast. I thought you said PIN.
