Default Contact name not showing from addressbook!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Folks,
I synced my addressbook from my Mac when I got my phone - but when I get a SMS message, only the number appears, not the sender's name - so effectively, most of the time, I have no idea who's sending me the message.
When I get the text, if then add that number to the address book (again) and type in the person's name (again) it will save a duplicate, but this copy actually works properly in SMS messages.

Does anybody know what's going wrong?

Cheers,
Steve.

No, all the numbers are only entered once. It's only when I enter it a second time (from the Blackberry) that it recognises it.
Anybody?

Go to >Phone >Options >Smart Dialing and enter your Country code and area code. That usually fixes it.

I have no "smart dialing" menu - anywhere else it might be?

Cheers!

Maybe you missed the first step. Go to the Phone application (where call logs are) then go to Options (inside the phone app) then go to smart dialing.
