Default Home screen dialing bug still exists

This is like the 5th revision of the OS and this bug has yet to go away. Quite sad.

Perhaps its never been reported?

What "bug" are you referring to?

Oh. They turned that off ON PURPOSE on all of the Suretype devices, from the first 7100 device on down. I don't know why - and I've been complaining since day one. It's not a bug, they tell me. It's a phone first. So no shortcuts on the Home Screen.

I don't have a home screen dialing bug....never have. I've been on .42, .69, and .71.

Edit:....oh, that. Never had it, so I don't miss it I guess.

I like that feature. I wouldn't consider that a bug.

I don't consider that a bug either!
(Neither one, for that matter) - that's for clarifying that - I was referring to the Dial From Home Screen issue.

I got used to that from the 8700 which I still use and it confuses me at times. I had the dial from HS shutt off and I was looking hard for it in the pearl untill I read one thread here that it is not an option. learned to live with out it.

Oh, I love the feature! The issue is that when I use that feature to filter for a name. I type really fast and the phone will then stall and give me a Java exception. Then I have to type the name again and it will pull up. THis happens about 3 out of 10 times. Its really hard to re-produce, since its random.

Do you think this needs to be reported? If so, where can I report such a bug?
