I have had my hands on 100's of BlackBerry devices. Can't say that I ever recall seeing one that the PIN was numeric, always alphanumeric.

I've seen two 7100t's that were all numeric. All the rest I've ever seen were alphanumeric.

Alphanumeric, alpha = letters, numeric = numbers. Alphanumeric is numbers and letters.

I don't know if you can wipe the poll and start over, but if you can I'd recommend adding that option.

Hexadecimal is base 16 and uses the letters A-F to represent the single digits used for the numbers 10-15.

I suspect that all BB PINs are in hex, with no letter higher than an F. This would give roughly 4.29 Billion possible PINs.
