i'm from Italy and before i want to say sorry, at all, for my bad english.

So this is my problem:
i have a BB 8700g and i can't synchronize the contact from outlook. The process stopped at middle, i can copy only 246 of 561 contact.
The customer care saw me that is probably a bug by the desktop software manager (???).

Someone can help me?

Installed BB Desktop Manager V4.2.0.10 for my 8700G, now when I try to open 'Application Loader" it freezes the Desktop Manager, I then open tasks to end and when doing it shows me "Application Loader" is still running??

Hi, newb here. I just got a 8700c off of ebay, and is supposed to be a cingular phone. It powers up then shows the cingular background. But the phone then searches for the network for a while then says no service. Cingular says its the phone. What can i do if anything. Also the phone was new in the box. Thanks.

Hello and good mornign to all.

I've currently upgraded the firmware on my BB 8700g and i'm presenting issues with the synch for calendar. No matter what I set it up for the when synch is perform it earease any new information introduced to the BB from the one in outlook...this occuers even if no conflict is presented.

Any ideas why??? please help...!!!

I am a Verizon customer, but I received a 8700c as a gift. Will I be able to get this to work on Verizon or do I need to get the 8700e?

I am obviously quite new to this, but would appreciate any help.

The 8700c is a GSM unit and will not work on teh VZW CDMA network. You would need to get the 8703e. The only thing you can do now is either have the person return the 8700c and get you teh 8703e or sell the 8700 and get your self the 8703e.

Just migrated from a 7250. When deleting email on the 7250, if you set "Delete on" to prompt, you got a choice of deleting handheld only or handheld and mailbox. On the 8703e, if you select "Delete on" to prompt, you just get a delete or cancel choice. In other words, there no longer is a choice of deleting as an either/or...

Unless I'm missing something....

akashptl: yes you can get your 8700r unlocked, you will probably need to use one of the paid unlocking services, look at the sponsor section of this forum to find several.

now the problem is that i m not able to install the desktop manager sotware in my p.c.

You on a work group PC? One which uses a domain or LAN through a server to access the web. If you are, do this. Contact your IT dudes and ask then how to enable software installation via the cd drive. And enable installing script.

If your at home try it again by poping the disc out. If that don't work edit your registry. But backup before you do that.

A quick "search" of error 1720 found that this is solved by downloading the latest version of Windows Installer 3.1 from the Microsoft.com downloads web site.

"All day internet privileges"? Does this mean you have a choice of when you can use the internet during the day? I've only seen the Unlimited Data Package which is most common.

I purchased this product from Handango but cannot download the software into my IBM ThinkPad. I hit "run" on the "athnolimit_blackberry1210128794.exe" file which downloads from Handango's web site, but when it finishes running, no .alx nor .ali nor any other software is to be found to load into my Blackberry 8700c. The game's maker even emailed me the '.ALX" file, but same result when I tried the Blackberry Desk Top Manager to download it. Help?

I'm guessing you tried the application loader. If so. Ask for a product key code if applicable. Otherwise try it on a different PC.
