Default E-mail question...

Please Login to Remove!

Let's say for some reason I want to temporarily not receive any push email. Is there some way to do that without deleting the accounts, just a setting to turn that feature off?

Look in Options / Network

There *may* be an option labeled "Data Services". If so, set it to Off and you will not get e-mail (or Internet). You will have voice and SMS.

Thanks. I assume no browsing either. When I turn it on will it bombard me with all the emails waiting for me (I bet yes)?

You can edit the Filters option on the BIS website by selecting "Do not forward messages to handheld" when no filters apply.

Now we're getting somewhere. Pardon me for asking, but where's the BIS website, and is that the only way to set email filters?

This would be on your network's web site--for tmobile it is at my.tmobile.com. I am not sure about others..

**One thing to note will be that if you filter out the messages, they will not be waiting to be downloaded later on.... you will not have them on your BB unless you forward them there again...

Right, I assumed that. As an aside, if I use a cable email server with the BB, are there now 2 servers (mine and BIS) involved?
