Since the 8100 did not come with a case, it was nice to know that they did the locking of the keypad correctly, keypad remains locked after a call is ended.

Now, after updating to 4.2.0.64, "auto"-unlocking the keypad works as it did on the 7105t.

1) keypad is locked
2) incoming call is answered
3) call is ened
4) keypad is now unlocked

Can anyone confirm that this happens to them, and if so can a solution be given for 4)?

It's the same way on v 4.2.0.69. However, if you Ignore the call instead of answering it then the phone remains locked or in standby mode(whichever you placed the phone in prior to the call)

i have 4.2.0.67 and this one remains locked, even after answering the call. Perhaps you can upgrade to that version?

The more I read, the more I think .42 is the better version (despite the 1gb mem card cap). Auto dim, alarm snooze, keypad lock, and others I can't think of offhand are all features that seem to have been faulted in the newer versions.

I'm with Archiberry; this works properly on 4.2.0.67.
I would never go back to 4.2.0.42.. Missed too many calls with it.

My alarm snooze seems to work fine in .64. What happened to it in .67?
