Default Resolution of the problems on the 8100

Please Login to Remove!

This may be a bit early to ask given that the 8100 was just recently released on Cingular, but I was wondering if the problems that the T-mobile 8100 users were facing, have been resolved with the Cingular 8100's. I was also wondering if the reception/voice quality on the 8100 is better/worse/the same vs. the 8700 and 7130 on the Cingular networks. Any insight would be appreciated.

I "upgraded" to the 8100 from the 8700 workhorse. I've had it for a few days and can't really see any difference in phone reception or call quality. I'd say they are pretty much the same.

I also came from the 8700 to the 8100 and find the voice qulaity to be as good. Signal strength is very good on both devices.

Thanks. I had heard that the reception on the 8700s is not as good as the 7130s. Similarly, based on the BG review, it sounded like that Pearl's sound quality was not the best. My dilemma is that I have a 7130 and am not sure if it is worth switching over to the Pearl....

It is. though if you have the 7130c you might not like the keys on the Pearl. I'd go into a store and play around with it. Better yet, bring your 7130, and hold the two of them side-by-side.
