Playing around with the BlackBerry 8100 desktop software, and when I try to add a standard 3MB - 5MB song using the Media Manager I get the following error:

"The size of the file exceeds the maximum file limit of the BlackBerry device memory"

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

If you're trying to copy a file directly to the Pearl's memory, then each file can't be more than 2.86MB. If you want to copy a larger file, you must use a microSD card and copy the file to the card.

If you have a microSD card in the phone, use windows explorer to copy the file to the card.
