One of my users destroyed his phone. I have a spare and put his sim in it but the enterprize activation option is not there. I have wiped the handheld and powered on an off etc.... but to no avail.

Does anyone have an answer?

You can find Enterprise Activation by going into Options / Advanced Options. Should be in the list there.

I know it should be there but it is not. I've done dozens of these things but the option is not there.

Try and wipe it again. If that doesn't work then just reload the OS

It is very strange. I was finally able to get Enterprize Activation to show but it times out after about 30 minutes. If I go back to try again the Enterprize Activation option is missing.

This user is using his own sim and wireless number but I supply the BB and the BES service. It was working until he broke his phone by dropping it. Of course this is 2 this month.

Sure that he's signed up for an enterprise BlackBerry plan with Cingular? The absense of the Enterprise Activation option is usually the result of a carrier provisioning issue.

I had this issue on a T-Mobile phone that had been provisioned for the BES service.

The software somehow corrupted, and when I upgraded to the newest software, the icon appeared.

Something to try.

Yeah it's probably a carrier provisioning issue. I had this problem with one of my customers this week where they hadn't paid the extra $$$ to upgrade from BIS to BES..

If the line does check out OK then go in to Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing table - click the trackwheel and select Register Now.

Thanks for all the help.

After playing with it a few times I found that the Enterprize Activation Icon was there until I selected Turn Wireless On. Once it came up with EDGE the option disappeared.

I'll have to get his info to speak with Cingular on his behalf.

Sometimes I just hate technology.
