Default BB Nextel 7510 or VZW 7750?

Please Login to Remove!

I am a 4-year BB957 user and am looking to consolidate my phone and email into one unit. I am looking at all the Nextel 7510 and the VZW 7750 in particular. I love Verizon's phone service and like Nextel's speakerphone and browser possibilities.

I am looking for insight and opinions from owners of either unit... about things like:

-Coverage (in NYC and surrounding states)

-Web access

-Unit features and differences

-Phone quality

_Provider satisfaction (or dissatisfaction)

Obviously most people own only own of the two, but if you could jot down any and all thoughts about your experiences with them, I would really appreciate it.

ATT & T-mo users, I welcome your thoughts, too... you're not entirely out of the running (yet)

Thanks again.

I test all these units for work. I currently have a 6210, 6230, 6510, 7210, 7230 and 7280.

my nextels, while phone quality is better, network features are good, battery life is horrible compared to 62xx and 72xx. Might just be the devices I have, but I'm lucky to get 8hrs out of it, where I can expect 3 days or so out of my 72xx.

nextels are a little heavier and a little thicker.

I get the best coverage out of the 7280 (cingular) followed by the nextels. This is in the DC and surrounding areas. ATT is 3rd on the coverage list, and TMO at 4th, and Verizon taking the tail end. My verizon is a Kyocera 7135 btw.

The speakerphone on the nextel was handy at best, I rarely used the direct connect though. Generally I use the headset to talk though, so 7280 is what I usually use for that.

In all, if I were to choose one for personal use, I would go with the cingular 7280 (7780's are nice, and bigger screen, but I like the form factor of the 72xx series much better). If I had a little time to spare, I would wait a month or two for the 7290 to come out on cingular. I will have 32mb ram instead of 16mb and quad-band. I'm not a big fan of the 7100, but if that's for you it might be an option as well...
