Default 5-10 second answer delay

Is anyone else experiencing the problem I'm having where the phone isn't connecting the calls fast enough when someone phones in? Everytime I get a call, I have to answer it, wait 3 seconds, and then say "hello?" Often times I get no reply, so I have to say, "hello? hello? hello?" until finally the person on the other end hears me. People have described the situation as no longer hearing the phone ring (when I answer), a silent pause, and then finally they hear me. This doesn't have anything to do with poor signal or tmobile, this happens all the time, no matter where I am. This is really, really annoying. Is everyone else just putting up with this or do I have a defective phone?

It's apparently a bug in the OS, mentioned several times in threads already.

Default switching to rogers?

how does one go about doing this? Does this change the software on the phone and replace the tmobile software with roger's? Or is this just a slight tweak on some really technical things, like making it answer the phone instantly?
