Exclamation Upgrading from 7130e to 8703e

I posted in "rumor mill" earlier, but i think it is a better fit question here...

Due to major issues, verizon's WDTS is sending me a brand new BB 7130e (in the original factory sealed box) to arrive Friday or Monday. I was also told that this device has the same 15-day worry free guarentee as any newly pruschased phone.

Question: How can I work this to my advantage? To get an 8703e? My local store said "no way" to the exchange, but they also don't have them in the store just yet.

Uh,,,,if it truly has the 15 day worry free, then return it for the 8703e. Keeping in mind any price differences.

then why is my store being so hard headed? I am of course, willing to pay any additional charges.

All I am saying is, if they say the phone has the "Worry Free Guarantee" then you should have no problems. I have switched several phones using this program and there was no problem. You say your store is being hard headed. Are they saying the phone does not fall under this worry free program? If that is the case you might have to take it up with the people that sent you out the replacement phone.

Give customer service a call. Maybe they need to comment your account for the return so the local store knows it's cool.

I may just do that.

WDTS did say it had the guarentee. But my store said that the guarentee only applies to a phone purchased at the store or via phone.

I had this happen to me. I have had several issues with the 7130e. Actually they replaced the 730 9 times and finally gave me a 7250, i was called ny my rep yesterday and asked to come by his office. He gave me a 8703 right there for all the issues, actually it was the only one he had. I love it!!

I had a massive echo issues non stop echoing, it didnt matter what i did )blue tooth or phone)there was always an echo. im in Internet fraud so I am always on my phone with goverment agencies and they can never understand me. So Verizon said it was a 7130 issue after 9 phones and sent me a 7250 to replace it. But i needed the speakerphone so when the one came in my corporate rep gave it to me. And everyone I talked to today said it sounds really clear.
