when i'm sending an email to myself from my blackberry to my work email account i get a message in my work acount that says:

there is an etp.dat attachment. Does anyone know why i am getting these? Is there a setting in the blackberry that needs to be changed or reset? I have a 7510 going thru nextel.Thanks

This message is usually caused by an incorrectly configured BlackBerry Desktop Redirector;

If you are using BWC, you should uninstall your BlackBerry Desktop Redirector.

where is the Blackberry Desjtop redirector? I was looking for it and could not find it. I am getting the same thing, but I am using the Blackberry Email address, not forwarding anything here at my personal computer.

I had the same problem they had me go delete the redirector serivce book the have BWC send a new service book.

Works great for me now.

Just a quick question here.... I currently use the BWC for a personal web account, but I use the Desktop Redirector for my exchange account because I don't have access to a BES server. Is there anyway to stop receiving the etp.dat messages by still using the redirector?
