File reading problem

Newbie using a BB7290 with 4.0+ OS
I emailed myself an eBook as an attachment.
File size of attachment is 486K.
I open file and start to read attachment.
I get error message - Couldn't retrieve more.
File truncated; bottom of screen shows

Whats the problem and how do I fix?
Status showing:
File Free 16071804 Bytes
File Tota 29360128 Bytes
I installed eFile on the unit but this program seems to be useless without eFile server so I can remove this.
