C'mon, load this on your zen and see how nice it is. I don't know why you guys with graphics skills don't do the cut-outs for Zen like this but if I can do it without a template then someone has to be able to come up with some nice ideas.

I got a buddy who helped me out when I asked for a custom Zen background. He added some cool "built in" looks to the background images and they look awesome on the zen theme.

hey thanks, sorry I didn't get this sooner

yeah, sure thing, I'd like to see more of this kinda thing. really only I can tell it's really custom, but it's kinda cool and really sets off the icons like "buttons". seems even cooler than just an image.

no prob! thanks to everyone who did the work to figure out the hack so I can just slide in here and have a slick 8700 right out of the gate


I was gonna start a new thread, but it seemed like it belongs in here. I wanna see what else we can brainstorm along these lines. tailoring the background to the themes and controls that are already there.

one thing I've noticed is that the top of the background image is just barely visible while you are in phone mode, and even becomes more visible when you are actually making a call but at the bottom of the screen. I wonder if there is a cool way to color this, shade it or even pattern it so it looks more intentional when it happens.
