Default Hooray for me. :) I just got a 7130c

Well, I must start by saying that I never post threads like these, saying "Look what I Just got!".

But, since I've wanted a Blackberry for as long as I've known they've existed. I'm rather stoked.

I've already read so much great info on this site, so I look forward to learning more.

Take care everyone,

Plink

No kidding. I'm already sitting here configuring everything.

And the internet is fast. The Google maps thing was blowing my mind 5 minutes ago...

I'm doomed...

Default not to threade jack

not trying to thread jack, just didnt really want to start my own for no reason...

but ...i finally got another blackberry, for anyone who cares or might remember...i went through 2 blackberry's in about 2 weeks....and then was left with nothing but a delicious taste of what could of been...well now i got a 7130c instead of my previous 2 8700's!!!!

what are the major differences if any other then the obvious smaller size and keyboard with predicted text (which i absolutely love)?

I just switched from the 8700c to a 7130c.
Here is what I see as the difference.
Obviously the smaller form factor, smaller screen, but the 7130 has much better audio. No more complaints from the person I am talking to about background noise. (this was my only complaint about the 8700). Sure type is much better than I thought it would be, and once it learns words you use, it gets even better. I thought I would miss my QWERTY, but I really do not. One annoying thing about the 7130 (but very minor) is all the applications that I hvae downloaded end up on the main screen and not in the applications folder where I expected them to be. Other than that, I am pleasantly surprised with the 7130. I have had it for about 2 weeks now, and havent looked back. I guess I am going to sell my 8700 on eBay.

Ditto for me. I had the 8700c and didn't like the poor audio quality or the static I got on my Bluetooth connection in the car. The 7130c is a great phone as well as a great Blackberry.
It's a keeper.
Welcome to the world of Crackberries.

I never tried the 8700 due to the size. Then Cingular sent me to the 7130 release party and I haven't used another device since.

Yeah, I was considering the 8700 for a second, till I realized that all I wear is jeans, and not baggy jeans either.

But I dig the 7130, and after playing with it a bit, I'm getting a bit faster with the Suretype.

It's pretty kickass.

Just got my 7130c yesterday and I love it. This is also my first BlackBerry and so far I like it. What I was really suprised about was the reception, I'm getting reception in places where I never could before, of course my concern is now with radiation I also love the sound quality of this phone.

Curious about CarlGalgano's post.

Is there a way to select things to move into the applications folder?

I haven't found anything yet.

I must admit that I wanted the 8700 so bad I went with Roger's for a short while just to check it out, even though I was already with Telus and been using a new 7130e. I sent the 8700 back within a week. Although the larger screen and full keyboard are nice, once you get used to SureType and the smaller form factor, the 7130e is hard to beat.
