I am considering buying a Blackberry 7130. I need to plug into my PC and synchronize with two Outlook contact lists (one public plus my own list) in addition to my tasks, calendar and notes.
I do not plan to use email nor to have any sort of internet connectivity, simply want to use the device as a PDA to rempals my Palm Treo.
Can the 7130 sync with two different contact lists? It's ok if the PC overwrites the handheld every time; I dont' really need to sync back to the PC.
Do I need any additional software?

Yes you can have the Blackberry sync with many contact lists. The reason I say many is becasue I don't know how high it goes. I currently sync with two public folders and two personal lists without any problem.

Will it make any difference that we don't use the Blackberry service? Can I do it through a cable/bluetooth?

Yes with the standard software. I don't think you will be able to do it through bluetooth but you can always try and see what happens. You actually HAVE to use the cable (or BT if you can get it to work) since you cannot sync more than one contact list using wireless sync with BES, if you are on BES you have to disable wireless calendar sync in order for multi contact lists to work.
