If I point a new 4.1 Exchange BES (PRVRIM1) to the database on a production server (BOSRIM1 - also 4.1 Exchange BES), will that affect the existing MSDE database on BOSRIM1? It already has over 250 users, I'd hate for anything to happen.

Nothing bad will happen, but depending on the bb usage of your users on teh first BES, and the number of users you will add on the new BES, you will certainly be taxing the limits of MSDE.

Just don't point your Domino BES to the same database .... he he he..Ok i know that was not funny...

Keep watching you App Logs for MSDE Concurrent Connections errors.. start preparing for upgrading to SQL when you start see those...
