Default Rogers outage

Please Login to Remove!

My data connection has been refused for like 30 minutes and when I called Rogers they said they have a nation wide data outage.

Scary all those people without their blackberries.

I'm in DC using BIS with Cingular, and I've been getting delayed emails every day this week.
Sometimes they're instant, but a lot of them are 5 to 10 minutes delayed.

Are there problems with RIM, or shall I expect this to be status quo since I've upgraded to 2.0?

It's Rogers. Same issue here, in Waterloo. Are you in Waterloo? It's been up and down for the past 2 hours (7/12/2006)

Same problem for me.....either the "data connection refused" or "edge" instead of "EDGE".

It's been up and down since maybe 11 am (?) for me, but mostly down.

hi tek, when you say your getting emails every 5-10 minutes, is that from your email accounts or your blackberry.net address? dont forget, that since your other email accounts, especially since youre on BIS, are getting Polled every 1-15 minutes, that 5-10 minute lag may be standard. Only BES and your blackberry.net features offer realtime push email.

Default Waterloo, Rogers, Down since about 11am

I am getting full 5 bar "EDGE", but nothing coming in or out at all, can't access the 'net, no PINs, etc. Cell service works.

Where are you located? this might be helpful in diagnosing if this is a local, or more widespread problem.

Just spoke with Rogers-- ALL users are affected by this. Apparently it is a universal outage at blackberry and not ROgers (according to them).
Apparently no rogers users have data. DO we know if bell is down?

Could be that undergrad in Waterloo holding the twisted pairs together for the RIM techie sets them down once in awhile for a slug of Tim's.
