I am really the only support person for the devices.. and our primary users are managers, VP's, and really anyone who travels to different bases and whatnot.

sales/marketing.
I am an independent Manufacturers Rep. and sell throughout the Mid Atlantic states. Being able to get e-mail and faxes (Via My Fax and Repligo) on the go is great for my business and the BB gives me that plus my phone and a horrible contact manager to boot. Sorry, I had to take my shot.
I love the 8700 and in the 8+ months I have been using it I have been much more productive and responsive to my customers and the Manufacturers I represent.

Web programmer. My BB really helps when I'm away from my desk in quickly replying to emails, and makes my clients a whole lot happier.

Retail Grocery Chain - working as a project manager in the department that handles design, build, equipment purchase, and service. It has been the BEST tool we have implemented to keep all interested parties in the loop even when away from the office.

I briefly worked at a large law firm where everone had a BB. Now I run corporate finance at a small wind power developer and I'm the only one with a BB. But it allows me to communicate in real-time with everyone from the CEO to the lawyers, securities guys etc. and not be behind my desk. That's why I love BIS 2.0. I've had people emailing me to Go Home when I was in fact already home (or better).

Senior Business Analyst for one of the "Big Four" U.S. wireless carriers. I could have any handset in our lineup, but have had a series of Blackberries ( 6710, 7230,7290, 7100t) over the past two years, and have no plans to ever carry anything else.

I work for a major (global) office furniture manufacturer company. We have over 400 Blackberry devices and it just keeps growing. Our largest user base is Sales, but all the executives and many, many managers have them. Even though we require VP approval, I've only ever heard of 2 people being turned down.

We do Entertainment Lighting. Rock and Roll and coporate show. Anyone that needs lights is what we do. We have 26 BB's for our sales guys and some of our lead guys on the road doing shows. Much easier to e-mail back and forth durring a LOUD rock show about problems then trying to yell on the phone.

Advertising/Graphic Design. We tend to work odd hours and work with tight timelines, so keeping in touch with clients and vendors is important. There are five people in the office, two of us with Blackberries. We also travel and go to meetings outside the office, so it helps keep track of things while we are out. We tried the Treo thing for a while, but the constant checking of email/progress bar was tedious and ate up battery.
