That's a known issue with Ramle and the developer knows it. I inquired about it when I had my 7100g with Cingular. It did the same thing when I had an 8700c with Cingular. I'm using the 8700g with T-Mobile now.

Oldskoolboarder, I used Ramble, yak-On, and Verichat successfully on my BB with Cingular service when I was with Cingular. I never had any issues.

what does everyone think of quickIM? I was just trying it and didnt like it much (not a great interface).

How does this compare to other clients ? I just dont want to start downloading all of them so was hoping that someone can point me towards a better one. I just need MSN and am hoping will only need to pay one off fee.

Thanks

Default 4.10.309 upgrade knocked out my IM capability

I just upgraded the OS today and I no longer have IM capability. Before when I selected IM the 4 option icons were there and I selected which one to log into.

Now when I select IM it tries to go to a web page but I get an error
Error 406 Not Acceptable
The page you are trying to load is not supported by the browswer. Please try loading a different page.

The page is t-mobileapps.com/downloadcenter/files/oz/IntstantMessaging.jad

Any suggestions?

My husband is deployed to Iraq and this is our main source of communication, I'm lost without it.

Please PM me or send me a pin message. In the meantime, you can use Ramble IM which is a free application for aim or yahoo messenger.

Hey guys,
I just downloaded a trial version of IM+ for my Blackberry (7290), but I can't seem to get it to work. I made an account (or just used an existing one I already have) and filled out the username/password information for my aol account on IM+, but whenever I try to sign in it says "Authorization failed, please check your login/password".

Is there a certain way i'm supposed to setup an account for IM+?

I had this problem too. It will ask you to connect a second time and it should work.

I have only just installed Google Talk (haven't used it yet- no one to talk to ) but if you log into your gmail account and click on "chats" down the left hand side, it say's Your chat history will appear here if you choose to save your chats. You can change this in Settings

I may be completely wrong, but as I said- not used it yet....

It's never asked me if I wanted to connect a second time.

Has anyone used both Verichat & Webmessenger? If so, how do they compare? Which do you prefer?

I'm currently behind a firewall, & I'm not even sure of the pricing, although I keep reading that Verichat is $35, buy this is an old thread, so I wasn't sure if that changed.

Thanx!

Yes, Verichat is $35 and that's a yearly subscription. I liked Verichat but not the yearly subscription. I haven't used webmessenger, but I'll have to check into that. I'm also not behind a firewall either. Otherwise, Verichat worked very well for me.

Unhappy

I just downloaded the 15 day trial version of webmessenger. So far it seems very kewl, but it keeps playing all these sounds that seem random, because whenever I look @ it, nothing is going on... I added 2 alerts, 1 for when anybody says anything, & the other was for when my boyf becomes available. Neither of that has happened yet it's playing me some sort of notification... I dunno how to make it stop... :(

OK, I've come to the conclusion that when anyone goes away & comes back & does whatever my phone plays a sound &/or vibrates, but I have absolutely no alert settings anymore. Make it stop! Help!
