As far as I know (and keep in mind that my RAE is telling me this and could be incorrect (could be 10 or 15 dollars)) the BIS will drop, unfortunately I have not heard about BES. Sorry guys!

Will this BIS 2.0 support push e-mail from regular Yahoo accounts?

My gmail account is set up as a seperate account on BIS 2 and it takes 8-10 min for delivery to my BB.
As i said earlier my other accounts forward a copy to my BB address and that is instant.

So gmail seems to be POP3 polling speed. But as I understand, Yahoo integration would be instantaneous?

One thing I donxxx8217;t like about 2.0 is the inability to check messages from the web. Since I work in a secured area, we have to leave our phones in the car so it is nice to be able to check messages every so often without walking to the parking lot. No biggie on that but I swear I can ask 10 different reps with Cingular on plan changes for the $29 plan and I will get 11 different answers. Does anyone know the xxx8220;secret wordxxx8221; or something to tell them so they can change my plan? The last time I called, I was on hold for 30 minutes before the lady came back and said I would have to be signed up for the small business plan to qualify.

It will not unless you have upgraded to the premier account where Yahoo allows you to download mail through POP3.

I have been unable to access the Cingular.com website from my PC all day for some reason but I did look at it on my 8700. There is a plan listed as "Blackberry personal Plan" but it is $34.99 not the $29.99 I have seen posted here. It specifically states that the plan cannot be used with BES.
They also then have 2 additional plans:
Blackberry 4mb--$39.99
Blackberry Unlimited--$49.99
Some of this has been stated before but I have not heard the "$34.99"

Isn't the $34.99 the price for the BIS plan without a voice plan?

Interesting. I have Yahoo MailPlus (but not BIS 2.0). But I thought that BIS 2.0 would integrate free with a standard Yahoo Mail account....

Mabey, like I said I was viewing it on the BB so the page was hard to read.
Sorry for the confusion.
I still cannot access http://www.cingular.com/ from my PC. All other websites are OK...hmmm.

AFAIK, this is the way that BIS works. It is possible that Yahoo has a special arrangement with RIM, but I know with other providers such as juno or hotmail if you don't have POP3 access you can't have the e-mail PUSHed to your BB.

As I understand, free real-time Yahoo integration is a special service with BIS 2.0. At least that is what I read on here.

This is not true. Well documented on TM that free Yahoo works.

You are correct - any Yahoo! account will work w/ BIS 2.0 (although if you have a small buisness one you need to have a free Yahoo! account assocaited in order for it to work right)

Called Cingular Customer Service and he could not find it until I gave him the following codes that were provided earlier in this thread:
SOC Code - BIA1
Description - BBRYBISUNL
He instantly found it and switched my plan to 29.99 instead of 44.99.
Cool!

Hmm, so I've read here multiple times, BUT...... I've been unable to set it my free Yahoo! account today after upgrading to the new BIS 2.0 from Cingular. "Add email account" asks just for the email address, as well as the password entered twice. When I try this with my free Yahoo! email address, I just get an error message saying "An error occurred during email account validation." So, if this is *really* true, how does one go about setting it up to work with BIS 2.0?? Has anyone successfully done so with a free Yahoo! email account?
